April 19, 2010 — This weeks' Recreation Guide features something for everybody; classical music and melodramatic performances by local ward members, the largest free dance festival in the Inland Northwest, an art exhibit unique to the Palouse region and a fly fishing class for beginners.

DanceFest 2010
The Inland Northwest Dance Association Inc. (INDA) invites you to participate in DanceFest Sat, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center in Coeur d' Alene. The only free family dance festival of its kind in the Inland Northwest features all styles of dance performance and encourages public participation for people of all ages, cultures and abilities. East Valley Ward Melodrama
East Valley Ward presents its 12th annual melodrama at the Spokane Valley Stake Center located at 21022 E Wellesley Avenue in Otis Orchards. There will be three performances: April 23 at 7 p.m., April 24 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Everyone is invited and admission is free.

'Come to the Garden of Music' Encore Performance
An encore performance of 'Come to the Garden of Music', a classical recital presented by a quartet of musical friends will be presented Friday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Spokane Valley Stake Center, 21022 E. Wellesley Avenue. Performances by MaryBeth Wagstaff, Misti Moberly, Raeylyn Toth, Joyce Hawkins and others in this collection of soli, duets and trios make great entertainment for the whole family. Admission is one dozen cookies per family and everyone is invited.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn Exhibit
Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown, Washington near Pullman present an exhibit 'Timber Grain Elevators and Silos of the Palouse' through April 29. Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is located on Highway 195 in the big white barn behind the famous iron wheel fence. Fly Fishing for Beginners
Learn the basics of fly fishing from the pros at a Saturday workshop April 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Q'emiln Park in Post Falls, Idaho. Guides from Castaway Fly Shop will instruct the class, teaching the basics and fundamentals for the sport of fly fishing and fly casting. Cost is $30 per person.
