Spokane Women's Show
Cooking demonstrations, live music and dance performances, fashion shows and speakers on women's health will be featured at the Spokane Women's Show April 16-18 at the Convention Center. The event is in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, raising money for breast cancer research. Admission is $7, good for the entire weekend. Family Gardening Event
The Liberty Lake Municipal Library will host a Master Gardener presentation, a family event for all ages, on Saturday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m. Bring and empty, clear two-liter bottle for a planting activity. WSU vs. Gonzaga Baseball

Spokane's 12th Annual Get Lit! Festival will take place April 14-21 at various locations in the area. This weeklong literary festival includes readings, workshops, panel discussions, poetry slams, fairs and contests designed to engage residents of the Inland Northwest community in a celebration of the written word. Moscow Young People's Arts Festival
The Spring 2010 Young People's Arts Festival is Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. at Moscow Junior High School for children ages pre-K (with parent) through 6th graders. Cost is $15 for a half day and $25 for a full day. Courses include Cupcake Decorating, Water Color, Create a Tibetan Mandala, Learn to Bake Springtime Cookies with Wheatberries, Paper Bead Making, Recycled Sculpture, Duct Tape Wallets, 3-D Colorful Hats, Mothers Day Gifts, and more. Home Improvement Show
The Spokane Homebuilders Association will sponsor the 11th annual Premier Home Improvement Show this weekend featuring an array of presentations and advice on getting your home into shape for the spring. The show begins Friday, April 16, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana in Spokane Valley.
