Jon Schmidt Concert
The BYU Management Society presents John Schmidt in Concert at the The Bing Crosby Theater March 29 at 7:30 p.m. Jon Schmidt is an engaging and popular musician who has been entertaining audiences for years with his unique ability on the keyboard. CVHS Performs "Brigadoon"
Central Valley High School in Spokane presents "Brigadoon," March 23-25, with each show at 7:30 p.m. A cast and crew of 75 students plus a full 20-piece orchestra, an original set, bagpipes, kilts, dancing and singing make this musical romantic comedy set in the Scottish Highlands a family favorite. "Time Out for Women"
Deseret Book's annual "Time Out for Women" in Spokane is entitled "Infinite Hope" and offers a weekend of inspiring speakers and musical performances for LDS women of all ages. The conference will be April 30-May 1 at the INB Performing Arts Center Auditorium. Discounted tickets are available through April 1 when you pre-register. "Run for the Trees"
Missoula Parks and Recreation's 18th annual "Run for the Trees" is Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10 a.m. A great event for the whole family, all runners and walkers receive a T-shirt featuring the artwork of Missoula artist Monte Dolack, and a free tree seedling to plant. Participants are also eligible to win great prizes and gift certificates. Registration is $20 for adults and $15 for youth, if registered by March 28. "Baskets, Bonnets and Pincushions"
An exhibit at Washington State University in Pullman entitled "Baskets, Bonnets and Pincushions: Interpreting the Life and Work of Mary Richardson Walker," tells the story of a young missionary wife who traveled across the Oregon Trail in 1838 to help establish a mission near Spokane. Experience her life through her diaries, artwork, clothing, and household objects through April 8.
