March 15, 2010 — The weather is warming and that means spring concerts and baseball must be dotting the local events calendar. Alumni and fans of BYU can root for their favorite team against Gonzaga on the diamond Monday and Tuesday night while music, arts, crafts and even a look into outer space are also part of the activity agenda.

College baseball
The Brigham Young University baseball squad will be in Spokane this Monday and Tuesday, March 15 and 16, to face off against Gonzaga University at Washington Trust Field on the GU campus. Both games start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for seniors and kids 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased by calling TicketsWest at 325-7328 or going to www.TicketsWest.com. Tickets are also available at the McCarthey Athletic Center ticket office from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. or at the gate up to one hour before the start of each game.

Spring Fundraiser
Tickets are now on sale for a tea to benefit the Liberty Lake Municipal Library. The fund-raising tea will be held April 24 at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church, 23515 E. Boone in Liberty Lake. Caffeine free beverages will be available and guests are asked to bring their own teacup and saucer. A style show and silent auction featuring donated items from local businesses and artists will be presented. For more information visit libertylakefriends.org.

International Music Concert
The Spokane Area Children's Chorus, founded in 1987, consists of over 100 choristers in six choirs. They will present a concert if International Music, "Cantando a las Aventuras: Sing of Adventures" Tuesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at The Bing Crosby Theater. Tickets are $8 at the door and are also available in advance through the SACC office at 624-7992, ext. 300.

The Arts and Crafts Movement in the Pacific Northwest
The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture introduces a new exhibit titled, "The Arts and Crafts Movement in the Pacific Northwest." The exhibit will be on display through June 26 and will feature objects from the arts and craft movement specific to the Pacific Northwest, including furniture, glass, metalwork, ceramics, textiles, and graphics.
